Facebook, social media giant is giving a facelift to it’s newsfeed. The company is hosting an event in Menlo Park, California showing off the new version of newsfeed to journalists and bloggers.
The update to the newsfeed came to implementation due to Facebook users using the site sparingly according to Pew Research Center. 61% of users tend to take a break from a site for weeks at a time due to boredom or irrelevant information being displayed on the site.
Users are said to be migrating to similar sites such as Instagram, which is a Facebook subsidiary.
Even with some users on hiatus Facebook has over a billion monthly active users.
